Gieves & Hawkes AW18 campaign and No.1 newspaper

SHOW is proud to present its most recent collaborations with Gieves & Hawkes – including the Savile Row tailor’s AW18 campaign shoot, and a beautiful 16-page newspaper.

The first ever Gieves & Hawkes No.1 newspaper is in stores now and will be published this weekend with The Sunday Times on 23 September.

The newspaper features original editorial from leading journalists on all aspects of the tailor and its latest collection. Josh Sims speaks to Gieves & Hawkes’ creative director John Harrison about the brand’s connection to the sea, Mathias le Fèvre explores the sharpest tailoring for the season, and Stephen Doig picks his favourite outer and casualwear for autumn escapes. Elsewhere, Mansel Fletcher follows the path of wool from farm to fashion, Tom Chamberlin dresses it up in eveningwear for the party season, Rob Ryan finds out the history of Gieves’ home at No.1 Savile Row, and Aleks Cvetkovic explains how bespoke inspires innovation.

The newspaper features the AW18 collection from Gieves & Hawkes, for which SHOW created the concept and art-directed the campaign shoot. AW18 is the third campaign shoot we have worked on with the tailor. We worked with photographer Adam Whitehead and stylist David Lamb to produce the shoot, which draws directly from the main themes of the collection. The shoot was split between Hive Beach, Dorset, where the naval and seafaring influences were captured in the raw natural beauty of the coast, and London’s Shoreditch where the modernist angles of the new Nobu Hotel perfectly complement the sharp tailoring of the new season.

The AW18 collection and No.1 newspaper are available in store now.

Graffiti summer 2018

SHOW is proud to share the work of our recent editorial and art direction consultancy for Graffiti, the magazine for Graff Diamonds.

Working with Graff’s in-house creative team, Show art directed shoots with Benedict Morgan, Andy Barter and Graeme Montgomery and stylist Hana Al-Sayed.

Graffiti, edited by SHOWs editorial director Joanne Glasbey, includes fascinating features from the world of luxury, from Laurence Graff’s growing collection of contemporary African art, to the recent restoration of a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California Spider.

Richard James lookbook AW18

SHOW is proud to present the result of its recent collaboration with Richard James on the contemporary Savile Row tailor’s AW18 lookbook shoot.

Inspired by the supersonic hedonism of an era that gave us Concorde and created the intercontinental frequent flyer, Richard James’s Sybarite collection is all about adventurous self-advancement and the uninhibited luxe of the iconic 70s jet-set generation. Sybarite is rich, bright, highly optical and effortlessly relaxed.

The lookbook shoot was art directed and produced by SHOW, marking the fourth seasonal collaboration between SHOW and the Savile Row house. We partnered with stylist Kenny Ho and photographer Philip Sinden on the shoot, drawing influence from the collection’s intense tonal colours, soft lines and rich textures.

Standout pieces from the lookbook include a fine velvet cotton dinner suit in deep teal paired with fuchsia silk pocket square; and a midnight blue, moleskin cotton Harrington jacket styled over a blue ribbon print shirt and green step pocket square. Both are set against a warm, neutral background with deep plum overtones reflecting the depth of colour used in the collection.

The AW18 Sybarite collection will be available online and in-house at Richard James from August.

Beau summer style

This Sunday 24 June, SHOW will publish its latest issue of the Beau newspaper, themed around summer City style. It will be distributed with 190,000 copies of The Sunday Times to London and the south-east. Beau is the sibling publication of Brummell magazine, the little black book for City professionals.

Beau’s pages offer a taster of the best of Brummell’s City intelligence, from style, watches and travel to motoring, food and drink.

In this issue, we take a look at Brummell‘s annual ‘Ones to Watch’ listing, celebrating the City’s young rising stars. Also featured is an illustrated guide that gets under the bonnet of Jaguar’s new all-electric car, a round up of the hottest new talent on London’s restaurant scene, and an interview with Tina Warner-Keogh, the former City executive who, along with her husband Tom, is behind gin brand of the summer, Warner Edwards.

Pick up a copy of The Sunday Times this weekend to find out more.

Turnbull & Asser newspaper: Edition One

SHOW is proud to announce the publication of the first edition of the Turnbull & Asser newspaper. SHOW worked with the Jermyn Street shirtmaker on every aspect of the beautiful 24-page paper.

This started with the concept of the publication and extended to its design, a still-life shoot of the brand’s classic products, unique editorial from leading journalists, and a suite of elegant illustrations.

The newspaper is full of enlightening and fascinating stories that have shaped the brand. Stephen Doig visited Turnbull & Asser’s British factories to tell the story of how the brand is made in England; fashion historian Amber Butchart describes the history of neckwear, current owner James Fayed and former managing director Ken Williams talk about the shirtmaker’s long history with New York; Josh Sims breaks down the anatomy of a T&A shirt; Rob Ryan explains why Churchill and James Bond are fans; and Teo van den Broeke experiences the beauty of Turnbull’s bespoke and made-to-measure services.

To bring the newspaper to life, SHOW worked with photographer Mark Sanders and stylist Nathalie Francis on a handsome still life shoot; and with illustrator Joe McKendry on a set of detailed and striking drawings.

The newspaper will be distributed to Turnbull & Asser stores and to customers worldwide.

CBRE Perspectives on London book

SHOW is delighted to present Perspectives on London, a unique charity book project produced on behalf of CBRE to commemorate the 20th anniversary of charity StreetSmart. Every November and December participating restaurants add a voluntary £1 to the bill, which then goes to StreetSmart, who use the donations to support homeless charities.

SHOW edited, designed and produced the commemorative coffee table book, which consists of a series of interviews with 50 influential and inspirational ‘Londoners’ with accompanying portraits and location photography.

The participants come from varied backgrounds and professions, with little ostensibly in common other than their shared love of the city they call home. Among the 50 interviewees who were kind enough to share their stories, memories and hidden gems are actor Timothy Spall, chef Angela Hartnett, comedian Alan Carr, Mercury Prize-winning musician Sampha and Dany Cotton, the first female Commissioner of the London Fire Brigade.

CBRE has committed to donating 100 per cent of the proceeds of Perspective on London to StreetSmart, a very worthy cause which, fittingly, began life in London 20 years ago.

Knight Frank International View

Show Media is pleased to present the latest edition of Knight Frank International View; part glossy magazine, part guide to the world’s finest properties.

This is the third edition of International View that Show has helped to create. Previously we have produced content for Knight Frank’s Private View publication as well as the latest editions of the Dubai and Melbourne Wealth Report.

Show Media was commissioned to curate an editorial front section for International View with stories that would reflect the aspirational, cosmopolitan audience of the publication. The lead feature is an exclusive interview with Donatella Versace on the renaissance of the iconic fashion label and how she’s continuing her brother’s legacy. Elsewhere we explore the secret (yet accessible) locations of popular films; go behind the scenes in Mustique – the island paradise of choice for rock stars and royalty – and discover the new wave of Chinese design talent taking the fashion world by storm.

The Briefing: Property, homes & interiors

Show Media has partnered with Canopy Media to create a new monthly newspaper supplement – The Briefing – which will be distributed with The Guardian on Saturday.

Each edition will focus on a specific theme, covering a range of lifestyle topics, from wellbeing, travel and technology to property, personal finance and education. The content encompasses news, insight, expert opinion and interviews with notable personalities. Clean, modern and image-led design, coupled with a light but authoritative tone of voice, creates an easily digestible publication for an engaging, entertaining and informative weekend read.

There’s also advice from industry experts, interior design inspiration, covetable objects
for the home and an interview with property developer and TV presenter Laura Hamilton.

The Briefing: Property, homes & interiors edition will be available on newsstands, distributed with The Guardian on Saturday 26 May.
